I just received my copy late yesterday...and I am "eating it up"! I have already read Fire Up and MLM Nuts & Bolts in the past two weeks...so was anxiously awaiting it's arrival! I am relatively new to Discovery Toys (joined 10/19/05) and it didn't take me long to realize that in order to be successful you must be well-rounded...a balance of personal sales, ongoing personal and team improvement and training, and recruiting. I think the selling aspect of this business is readily understood and so is gaining company/product knowledge and additional training, but the recruiting aspect seems more daunting and often an area that new team members focus on in hindsight, if at all. This book does a GREAT job of redirecting your attention that in order to TRULY be successful, especially long-term, you must place equal (or more) attention on your recruiting. It really breaks the process down into manageable chunks of information and inspiration. It takes you step by step along the recruiting process, reinforces the importance of recruiting, and the positive impact that it will have on your business! This book has just become part of my Welcome Packet that my new recruits will be receiving upon joining Discovery Toys! What better way to get them up and recruiting right...right from the start! I was unable to go directly to your web site for some reason but I wanted to get my notes to you, so I hope this is okay. Here are my notes for the first message on 'Intense Desire. Massive desire is not enough, when you want to go for greatness. Desire burns like a white hot flame in everybody who decides to take the first step in changing their lives. Desire is the quality that makes top distributors never give up. They don't get discouraged even if they run ads for 2 weeks with no results they just continue on. When you have intense desire you make commitments instead of promises. You go through challenges in life instead of going around them. You have the courage to say I am good but not as good as I should be. Desire brings forward people with total insatiable appetite for going for greatness. There is an active self awareness and intense desire that the person knows is within them that can not be stopped. When you are unstoppable you will have that feeling, a mission to perform to get to Group Manager. A destiny to meet and achieve and say you met your dream of Group Manager. Instead of millions of people who live by the word BUT. Listen for people who want to get to GM, BUT they are not willing to pass out cards, put out lead boxes, not willing to run ads, not willing to go to convention, not willing to get on the powerline. They want it but not enough to do that which they have to do to get it. Once you decide you are going for GM you need a healthy dose of desire. Desire is more than wanting or wishing for something. Desire is more than stimulation or just giving it a try. When you have an intense desire it brings on an overwhelming demand you place on yourself to change the direction you are going in life. When you are disgusted with where you are in life and are willing to bring about personal change and willing to do it no matter what. Have to have intense desire to get to GM.No time to stew, only have time to do. Go out on lunch hour to prospect. Get up early, stay up late. Desire sleeps and can be woken up in a phone call, from a movie or a sermon.Wake up and live, make getting to GM happen. You will not be denied! Put me in coach. Love how it spells out how to follow the scrolls command. I especially like the chapter/scroll about being master of my emotions. Had a few ah-has during that chapter.

I didn't get a chance to email you when I got home Friday night and then had to take my daughter to the ER yesterday so I am just now getting a moment to sit down. As soon as I heard the first message Friday, I changed my entire plans for the evening. It was GREAT! I drove into "town"...30 minutes away and bought the book. I finished it in no time. I am going to re-read it this week. It was fabulous. Settled down to read “”The Greatest Salesman in the World” for 1 hour. OH, MY GOD! I could not believe my eyes when the first words I saw were “I will persist until I succeed.! I have heard Jan say these words over and over, but it was not until now that the light bulb went off. Jan also has made mention time, and again about Og Mandino, but I did not connect the dots until I opened this book! Now I understand why Jan has continued to grow her team and the fulfillment she must feel as she sees her downline promote up the ranks. I did not move from my chair until 3 hours later when I read the last words of the book and smiled. My book looks as though I have owned it for several years. I have orange highlights thru out and will be reviewing parts all of the time.

Bought the Og Mandino book today. Couldn't find in business section, they had it in Christian Spirituality. Glad I asked for help finding it! Started reading today.
Topic 1 - Massive desire is not enough.
-Desire burns like a flame to cause a change in your life. Never give up. Keep continuing on. Go through challenges. Have an appetite, self-awareness of the desire, and feel unstoppable. Have a feeling of destiny that it must happen. Watch out for using the words "but" and/or "not willing to".
-This desire is more than wanting and giving it a try. It is intense desire. Have to get disgusted with where I am in life. Go for it no matter what, like the Olympians who even compete when injured. (Great comparison - thanks!) The desire has to be backed up with action. It might be asleep, but I can choose to awaken it and decide to make this happen. OK- this is what I'm working on. In all honesty, I am disgusted with my lack of action sharing the opportunity with others. I really want the Group Manager perks - income, leads from home office, sharing with a team, self-confidence, etc. I know I feel more comfortable having conversations with others about kids, playing, anything like that when Zoe is with me. She gives me that connected to others feeling. So rather than trying to do this while I am out alone, I am choosing to make myself do this while she is with me. And if I go purposefully prospect, then I will take her with me. I love being with her, so I'll let her help my business grow. I've got to become confident sharing the opportunity and my business! So I will not give up. I will work through my discomfort until I am comfortable. Keep sounding the alarm. I need and want my business to grow!

Well, I read this great little gem of a book before I went to bed last night and let me tell you before I read it I was bone tired, but like you said it was wonderful and uplifting and really made me think about all the great insights for individuals it has in the different chapters.
I especially was moved by "I will laugh at the world" and what to say to yourself when negative forces come into your life, "This too shall pass" because I truly believe laughter (and laughing a lot) can save your sanity in so many areas. I love the message that we are all unique and we should exude love wherever we go. And the message of "when you give, you get" is very powerful, also. This book can be seen by many as simple, but it also can be complex because you have to dig deep within yourself to live this way.....every day. I will persist until I succeed and will keep this book as a small pocket reference for the future.

I am a new comer into the world of multi-level
marketing in Nigeria. It is a business that has gotten
my attention , but at the present I need some advice
as to which Network Marketing Company is the best to
join. Recently two different companies where introduced to
me;
Tianshi Nigeria Limited (tiens)
Tasly pty Limited.
Both companies produces basically the same product
(herbal supplement)
The situation is that i have already signed up with
Tianshi but the problem is that Tianshi is more than 3
years already in Nigeria, whereas Tasly is just a few
month old. My confusion is that Tianshi is a relatively known
name in the country and they have a track record but
Tasly is just coming into the county and will probably
come with fresh opportunity. What should l do? stay with Tianshi (that already have lots of people on it's network or join Tasly while it is still new and take advantage of its fresh opportunity. It will also help if you can tell me what you know about this 2 companies.

Participated in a wonderful Expo this weekend and I’m so excited! We had people from all over New England and we talked to and asked everyone! Some fabulous leads that we are following up on, a hot new teammate who helped me, and one woman who was so busy chasing her kids that she just had time to grab some information who actually called me! I am working with Cynthia Kersey and have been quietly and steadily laying the groundwork to repromote. My goal is to promote on April 1st, with a growing team and not doing all of the selling myself! This weekend, I also suggested to the Editor of a growing parents paper that reaches across New England that we could write for her (I reasoned that Editors don’t need story ideas, they need stories) and the first story is appearing in the March issue (a baby special), with the subject, “Five Great Toys for Children under 18 months” and featuring Buzzy Buddy, TryAngle, Hide Inside Surprise, Hammer Away!, and the Busy Time Playbox, complete with pictures. You can’t buy this kind of publicity and the reputation that it will help build will yield big dividends (the by-line will include the website). I’m going to be placing an order for More Feet on the Street, as I had trouble placing mine before the price increase. At any price, I’m looking forward to having another great tool in my toolbox (or on my bookshelf, as the case may be). I have listened to them a couple of times while driving to & from events/family functions this weekend, so I couldn't take notes the first few times. Thanks so much for this class. So many people say "I want to get to group manager, BUT..." SO many excuses! Not willing to get on powerline or convention, or do what it takes to get it.

GM2B class 2:

Olympics 2006, intense desire, SO much practice, drill, and rehearse, and they still go for their dreams, even if they aren't feeling great. Desire is backed up by action. You don't have time to stew...intense desire in others all around the world, get up early, stay up late, go out on your lunch break and network, prospect. Desire sleeps, it can be woken up from a sermon, a song, wake up and live, and you're going to make this promotion happen! you won't be denied, and you're going to do it NOW! Back it up!

Belief comes from within. Motivation is an inside out job. No one can motivate you but you. You must believe it to achieve it. Know you can do this! Like the snap of a finger, believe you can achieve it if you can get yourself in front of enough people When your checks get to $5,000 or $6,000 a month, you can believe that you can become a millionaire in DT! It starts in your own heart. Why not make today the day you decide you're disgusted with your life, decide to see the world, have a better life, provide for your family, why wait? Later may never come. Why not make today the day that you will never go back to where you were five minutes ago?

GM2B on Vision:
Already about belief.You see your epiphany in your head. Like a movie, put yourself into a movie in your head, the movie is your success story in 2,3, or 5 years. Zoom ahead, look forward to what's going to happen in the future. Attach fear to NOT recruiting and getting to GM. What if you don't? Don't let yourself and your children down, don't let yourself be denied. You get a title, a meaningful business you're running, helping others, so many powerful things that happen when you earn your promotion.Can you see it? What does it look like? What does walking across stage at convention feel like? Can you hear all of the powerteam cheering for you as a GM? Are you clear? Are you concise? Make it happen now. Are you inspired to do it, are you willing to read? Is it achievable? Can you duplicate it for others? Become a person of passion, you won't hold back. You'll become a business person, a person of priorities and excellence. Great isn't good enough, what about outstanding? Sommerset Maughm...if you believe that you'll get anything but the best, you'll very often get it. Get your own vision, I cannot give it to you, you have to have it in your head, go to the movie starring you. How to start with the end in mind. The end goal, major goal, is to promote NOW. Quit talking about it, wishing it, take action! Have that identity...that is your vision. This is what I'm going to do no matter what. So very few people in the world go after something with great gusto, there are so many excuses of why to postpone it and put it off. Go for it right NOW!!!!! Fired up, made a decision to go for it, have the belief and the vision, then what in the world could possibly be stopping you? Get a babysitter, put time into your end goal. Jan didn't blame the fact that you are a single mother with no help...she didn't hold back. Be the one out there making something for your future. Why not you, why not now? Why not have it all? Attitude of going for greatness forever. Tony Robbins had 3,000 people there, got everyone into a huge circle with the words to Conviction of the Heart by Kenny Loggins, and everyone sang it together. The words really get into your heart. People follow people who have conviction, they can see it in your body language, and are magnetized to you that have conviction of the heart. Play it in your team meetings and on your conference call, and pay attention to the words. People don't care what you know, they care that you care. Do not quit, do not give up, do not get discouraged. Don't have days that you want to wallow in sadness or stay in bed all day. Motivate yourself that you're going for greatness forever, for the rest of your life. Life is ticking on, you get to choose what you're going to do! Let's all do it NOW! Get your sales and recruits in and go for it as soon as possible!

Today is the day I will believe in myself and I will never be the same as I was 5 minutes ago.

VISION.
Vision is something you see in your head, you think about something and you see it. Put yourself in a movie and see it as your success story. All about you in 1 year, 3 years, etc. Zoom ahead in life and look forward to what is going to happen in the future. Attach fear to your vision, what if I don't get to GM? I am not going to let myself down or my family.
I am not going to be denied the title of GM.
Once you get the vision you get a title, a meaningful business to run, you will help people, you will go into leadership training.
Have the belief to promote and then see the vision. Many powerful things will happen when you promote to GM.

Can I see it? YES.
Can I feel it? YES.
Can I hear it? YES.
5 tests of vision:
1. Is it clear that I am going to be a GM? YES.
2. Am I concise that I am going to do it, to make it happen?YES.
3. Am I inspired to do it? Get up early, read the books, etc. YES.
4. Am I going to achieve it? Is it achievable for me? YES.
5. Is it easy for me to duplicate for others? YES.
If you have a vision you will become a person of passion. You will love this business so much you won't hold back.
A person of priorities and excellence.
Good isn't good enough.
Great isn't good enough.
If great is great what is outstanding.
Refuse to accept anything but the best.

I am going to be a GM.
I am going to be outstanding.
How to start with the end in mind.
The end goal is to promote to GM.
No more waiting and wishing.
Need to take action. Vision in your mind is to be able to say I am a GM. I am going to accomplish it no matter what.
Very few people go for things with great gusto. People make excuses and put it off.
Go for GM now. If you are fired up and have made the decision and if you have the belief and the vision what is stopping you.
Have to put time into getting that end goal.
Make no excuses.
Don't hold back.
Why not me, why not today, why not have it all.

We need to have the attitude of going for greatness forever, not just 2 months, or 2 years but forever.
If you listen long enough to your friends you start believing what they believe.
Need to plug in to people that are going somewhere.
Change your attitude, only you can do this, no-one else can.
Be with people that have positive attitudes and great attitudes.
Be with people that want to do something positive every day.
How much do you value personal growth? Go to seminars.
Learn about sales. Go for greatness in sales. Tom Hopkins one of the best.
Need to have an attitude for gratitude.

'Conviction Of The Heart' by Kenny Logins. Need to get this song and play it at team meetings and on conference calls. Listen to the words.
People will follow people who have conviction. They see it in your eyes, they see it in your smile and they see it in your body language.
They don't follow the know it alls. They are magnetized by people that have conviction of the heart.
People care about what you feel not what you know.
A feeling person is a person of greatness.
Life is ticking on there is no time to wallow in sadness.
Motivate yourself that you are going to have an attitude of greatness for the rest of your life.

-Belief must come from within. We must believe in ourselves - that we can achieve. Jan, or others, can't give us that belief.
-Our vision needs to be seen in our head, like a movie. Jan attached a fear to not recruiting and not promoting. That became part of her vision. Use it for part of my vision. Can I see it? Feel it? Identify with it? Hear others cheering when I promote?
-For my vision, is it clear? concise? inspired? achievable? and easy to duplicate for others?
-Get my own vision, my movie starring me.
-End goal is to promote to GM now! Accomplish it no matter what!
This part is easier for me. I believe I can achieve my promotion. I can see it, hear it. And I fear NOT recruiting and promoting. I want this too much to give up! I want it for me, my daughter, and my family.

I can now see why you have mentioned that book so many times as one of your favorites. I will be reading it over and over again. My goal is to read each scroll for thirty days. I found the Greatest Salesman in the World by Og Mandino. I sat right down to read it. WOW!! The first scroll truly spoke to me. Bad habits are so easy to fall into. I am going to focus on curing some of my bad habits. I will become a slave to GOOD habits instead of bad.

PART I: How to Promote YOURSELF to Group Manager
Welcome! We do what we are, and we are what we think. What we think is determined by what we learn and what we experience is determined by what we expose ourselves to. No one lives on a perpetual high, sometimes you’ll fall short, that will be okay. High performance people do not settle for too little effort. Be always on the grow. This is going to be an amazing class!Follow the outline and take notes. The goal is to get all of us to a strong position of leadership in Discovery Toys. JR comes from contribution. How can I contribute to your success. She is contributing to our personal growth and development, our leadership development and more. Must listen to the calls and TAKE ACTION. 1. Massive desire is not enough.
Have intense desire. Desire burns like a white hot flame to change their life. Desire makes top distributors never give up. Continue on, despite challenges. Make commitments and stick with it. Have an insatiable appetite for success. Have an unstoppable feeling to get to GM. You will say I am so glad I went for my dreams. Do not use the word BUT – means not willing to. You must want it badly enough to do the activity. Have a burning desire. Once you really decide that you will be a GM, you need a healthy dose of desire. It’s more than wanting and wishing. When you have intense desire, it’s an overwhelming desire to change the direction of your life. Brings about personal change. Decide to go for it whatever it takes. Example is the Olympics in Turino. They have to train and train and train and must go for their dreams. You don’t have time to stew, you only have time to do. JR sees it around the world, but not on our own team. Desire sleeps, but it can be woken up in a phone call, a song, a sermon. Wake up and live. Do it now, take urgent action. Back it up with your actions!
2.Belief/Vision/Start with the end goal in mind.
Vision: See it in your head – an epiphany. It’s like a movie, put yourself in the movie. The movie is about you, your success story. Zoom ahead in 5 years and look forward to the future. Attach fear to not recruiting in your vision. Want to get to GM so badly, do not let yourself down. Your going to get a title, a meaningful business, leadership training, it’s powerful. You’ve got to have the belief and the vision. Can I see it? Can I feel it? What will it feel like as a GM? Can you hear it? The applause for you from the Powerteam? The 5 tests of vision: Is it clear? Am I concise? Am I inspired to do it? Am I going to achieve it for me? Is it easy for me to duplicate it? Have a vision and become a person of passion. Don’t hold back! Become a person of business, priorities and excellence. Great is not good enough, become outstanding!Go for outstanding! Get the vision! Get your own vision, you have to have the vision in your head, you have to see the movie – play your own movie, you are the star! End goal is to promote to GM NOW. Do not wish, hope, think. Now is the time. Have this vision in your mind = the identity, the title, this is what I am going to do and I am going to accomplish it no matter what. Go after it with great gusto. So many settle, postphone, NO go for it right NOW! Don’t wait! If you’re fired up and you have the belief, then what is stopping you? Get a babysitter, get the kids taken care of. Put time into your end goal. Do not blame your circumstances. FOCUS on getting the goal. Make it happen now! No one can give you belief. You have to motivate yourself to believe in yourself. If you can believe it, you can achieve it – Napoleon Hill. Snap your fingers and believe it! Get yourself in front of enough people and it will go! Believe that you can be a millionaire in this business. There is no pill or vitamin that will give you belief. Make today the day you will believe you can do it! Today is the day! Why not you, why not now? Decide to believe in yourself so much so you’ll never go back.
3. Having the Attitude of going for greatness forever.
Not just for today, but forever. Watch your friends, what do they believe? You might want to get out of your circle of friends. Find those who have the attitude you want to get. Life is marching on, be with people who have positive daily intention. Go to seminars, how many have you been to? Do you value personal growth and development? Sell stuff to go and learn, feed your mind, learn how to sell. Have an attitude of gratitude. Went to Tony Robbins event and they passed out the words of Conviction of the Heart by Kenny Loggins. Find the words to put in your heart. People follow people who have conviction. They can see it in your eyes, your smile and your confidence. Get this song and play it at your team meetings and on conference calls, with your family. People do not care what you know, they care that you feel. Do not quit or be discouraged. You do not have time for that. Make it happen for yourself. Go for greatness the rest of your life. Forever. Life is ticking on, you get to choose your attitude. Get to GM and above this month! Get those sales and recruits in ASAP.
4.Do not waste life time.Get the philosophy of lead me, follow me or get out of my way. Do not waste my time. I do not have time to work with people to beg them to build a business. I want to build a business and work with business builders. Find people who want what you want. Find people who are hungry for success. Think positive thoughts, come from contribution, work with hostesses, set expectations for team and people that you work with. Your team needs leadership, call them and cheer them on. Call up your sellers and talk about them about leadership. If they don’t want to follow you, then find more people! There are people out there that do want your leadership and do want your light to shine on them. I will not be denied the GMB. I am going to RIO, I am going to get the car. Change your attitude and get everything you desire! Protect your lifetime.

What are the three top values in life that you value.
1. Honesty
2. Loyalty
3. Character
Find people that share the same values. Look for the value list in MLM Nuts & Bolts. Do not hang out with people that are excuse driven. Be productive, get to the top. Use your time valuably. Use your time wisely. Do not waste your time or let others waste your time.

I have lived 4 decades. 1 decade subtracted as it’s the last and not productive. I have 2 left. Approximately how long will it take for me to get going!! Get started on calling people, taking action, getting lead boxes out, and more! Guilt – children need you more as they get older. Focus your time on your children and your business. Get some help! Make your business a priority and give your children quality time. Play with your children daily. Use your time wisely, your future starts today!
5.Understanding the importance of having a wealth and prosperity consciousness.
Do not say you cannot afford it. What are your priorities? All those little things that you spend money on add up. Invest in your family and business by attending convention. The law of the vacuum – when you get rid of something, it gets replaced with something better! Old thoughts replaced with good thoughts. What will more money do for your family? Have a wealth and prosperity conciousness attitude. Say it first thing in the morning. Wealth and prosperity are coming my way! You can’t afford not to build a business in Discovery Toys. To make money, you must focus not on personal sales, but on promoting Group Managers. When all GMs make their numbers month after month, you’ll make a lot more money. You cannot promote GMs recruiting 3 people a month. You must recruit a lot more than that to make it happen. Get busy. Do not be denied. Do it. Be the one to say I’ll do it. Watch my smoke. What is your plan? What is your goal? If you did a little bit more, would you get more out of life? Get 3 recruits this month so you can stay on these calls.
6. Laser focus.
JR knows the top networkers in the world. For example: Eddie Chai in Taiwan has 1 million distributors – can you imagine that? Jeff Roberti has thousands of people all over the world. All top distributors have one thing in common – they have laser focus. They do not let anything get in their way – not the dentist appointment, not feeling well, etc. etc. Instead have the belief that whatever is going on I will work through it. I can not put off what I need to do tomorrow. Faith is daring your soul to see beyond belief, seeing it before it happens. You can see things before they happen as a GM and beyond. Once you get the vision, you will do it. You cannot start and stop, you must go wide and get the structure of 5 group managers. Do not just go for the trips. Have networking marketing inside of you. Nothing will happen until that day. When you go shopping from now on, you will shop for people, not stuff. Do not be afraid to pass out your business cards. Focus on becoming a great network marketer. You will get what you focus on – structure for GM, Rio, Trailblazer. Get a laser focus on what you’ve got to do today! Do not procrastinate! So many people want it, you must take action and pick out an ad from pages 192,193,194, and run the ad for at least 6 weeks. Must run for at least 6 weeks. Then when they call you, answer your phone like you are serious! Give them your MLM messaging number and call them back right away! Hi this is Val Sowa with Discovery Toys. 7. Taking massive, urgent action. You can't stroll to a goal.We often hear that knowledge is power, but not true, if no action, there is no power. To accomplish results, you must take the knowledge and put it into action. Knowledge x massive action = massive results! It determines your destiny. Step out of your comfort zone. Unseen reasons will keep you in your comfort zone. Make mistakes, minimize them and you’ll grow as a person. Say “That didn’t work, NEXT!” Take massive action this weekend and reach out for your destiny today. The fact is it’s not whether you take action or do nothing, but there are consequences to be had. Is it enough? Get excited, life has so much more to offer by taking action to change your results. Taking massive action will change your destiny and give you immense courage. Do today what others are unwilling to do. Talk to more people than most will. If I do what others are unwilling to do today, I will have what others cannot have. Do not settle, refuse to accept anything but the best. Teach 5 to reach 5. I will get everything I want! Prosperity and abundance are coming my way! Pass it on!

Answer your phone professionally, give your MLM messaging number, call them right back,and ask them lots of questions, tell them upfront that we get paid to sell and recruit, then the next step is....get to the closing really fast.
Take massive, urgent action. Knowledge isn't power, ACTION is power...will attain results. Knowledge x action=results. Not ever giving up...everyone gets discouraged. Funny thing about life, if you refuse to accept anything less than the best, you'll very often get it. Is going to a J.O.B. and putting your children in day care an option? Overwhelmed with so much business, no answering machines, no cell phones, wanted to keep children in private school, had 6 children living in the house, keeping house cleaned. What happened the one night she decided to not quit?Got home from a party, the house was a mess, children were still up, babies crying, she threw up her hands and said "No more." Her husband was a successful football player that played in the Orange Bowl, broke his thumb in the game and he couldn't hold the ball, was in such pain...and his coach Hayden Fry popped his thumb back in and told him to get back into the game, and they won the game.

Don't focus on the pain, just get back out there on the field. Desire, passion, fire inside of you that all the overwhelming things aren't as strong as your WILL TO SUCCEED. More than the will of giving up. Champions do not give up or quit...winners never quit, get back out there when you get discouraged. It's always too soon to quit. Life is short, you have to go after it, and go for Diamond with great gusto. Refuse to accept anything but the best. Every one of you has got to get to Diamond! Exit your house, get into chat rooms, do what your uplines tell you to do, it all starts today! Today is the first day of the rest of your life!

Here are my notes for messages 6 and 7. I responded that I would get 3 recruits this month but so far my name is not on the list.
6. Laser Focus.
Top distributors in the world have one thing in common....laser focus.
They don't say 'I can't do this today because....' instead they say 'whatever is
going on in my life I will work through it because today is the only day I have to work
the business.' Can't put off until tomorrow.
Eddie Chai, China has 1 million distributors. Jeff Roberti has thousands of people,
Jan Leach in the U. K, others in Ireland, South Africa and Hungary. Faith, getting your soul to believe what your eyes can't see yet. Of course you can
see things before they happen. Somebody saw your house before it was built.
Must have laser focus, see into the future and see yourself as a GM and beyond.
Once you get the vision you will not be stopped.
You can't be stopping and starting in network marketing.
Need to go wide and get the structure underneath you.
Network marketing has to get inside you. Nothing will happen until network marketing is inside of you. You won't go shopping for stuff but for people. You won't
be afraid to give out business cards, you will talk to people.You get what you focus on. If you focus on structure you will get it. If you focus on the trip to Rio you will get it. If you focus on the Trail Blazer you will get it.
Get a laser focus on what you've got to do today. Quit procrastinating and putting
it off. Just do it.
So many people want the business but you have to put the action and the activity behind the want.' More Feet on the Street,' pages 192, 193 and 194 pick out an ad and run it for at least 6 weeks. You won't get what you want in just 2 weeks. People have to see
your name and Discovery Toys name and phone number over and over.Then answer your phone like you are serious.
Call them back right away and ask questions. Be thrilled that they called and ask
them to tell you a little about themselves.
Ask them where they see themselves in the company.
Ask if they have ever done network marketing before.
Ask if they understand that the company expects us to recruit and sell and move
the products out the warehouse.
Then say, ' well it sounds like you are ready to get going the next step is..'
Learn to close quickly.

7. Taking massive, urgent action. You can't stroll to a goal.
Massive action.
We often hear that knowledge is power, this is not true.
Knowledge not put into action is powerless. It remains knowledge in your head.Accomplish results take that knowledge with the necessary action to obtain the results of getting to GM.Knowledge x action = results. This is the formula for achieving results.
When you add the word massive it has a tremendous impact in your mind and it determines your destiny.
Knowledge x massive action = massive results and it determines your destiny.Massive action often requires stepping out of your comfort zone, a lot of people are not moving out of comfort zone because they have basic underlying fear of unknown reasons and unforeseen challenges. It is inevitable you will have to get out of your comfort zone.Need to minimize mistakes and move on.
Whenever you make a mistake you grow as a person.
Some will join, some won't, so what, someone's waiting.
Take massive action this weekend. Inaction is also a decision. There are consequences if you do nothing.

8.Not ever giving up.

Through the years JR has wanted to give up but continued on. This quote kept her going, “If you refuse to accept anything but the best, it’s very likely you’ll get it.” Somerset Maugham. Wanted to quit so badly at one point in her life but her husband told her a football story about how he got badly hurt during a game, but the coach wouldn’t let him quit, he made him go on back out there and play despite the pain. This story made JR realize that she had the fire and desire and overwhelming will to succeed and not give up. Champions do not give up or give in. Quitters never win and winners never quit. It’s always too soon to quit. Life is short – go after getting to Diamond director. Go for greatness. Refuse to accept anything but the best in life. Start today. JR is counting on me to get to Diamond. Run ads, get into chat rooms, hurry up and get up the compensation plan. Today is the first day of the rest of your life!

13. Memorize Scripts and USE them/STEAM.

From Tom Hopkins Boot Camp. Don’t be stumped when someone says I have to think it over. That means they don’t have enough information to make a decision. All you say back, What is it that you have to think over? Haven’t I given you all the information so that you can make a decision today? Became a student of Tom Hopkins. Using a script is vital to your success. Jim Rohn – find someone that is living the lifestyle that you want to emulate. JR decided that there wasn’t anyone in DT that lived the kind of lifestyle that JR wanted to live. So she decided to be mentored by Jim Rohn. More Feet on the Street – find the black pages. They are black so you can find them easily and memorize those scripts. Anyone that asks you about network marketing, use the scripts. This is not a lifetime commitment, jump in and join in the fun! Use the scripts – they are short and easy – memorize them. Look for someone that want to emulate – look at their lifestyle. Once you have the lifestyle, nothing else matters. Don’t make excuses, don’t be distracted. Use the power of scripts to do effective prospecting. Scripts give the information to your prospect in a short, effective way. Keep STEAM in the forefront of your mind. This is a referral business. S – who sold you your car? T – Who’s your child’s favorite teacher? E – who’s the most enthusiastic person you know? A – who do you know that has a positive attitude. M – who do you know that could use $300 - $500 a month. I can help them get that. Keep STEAM in your mind as you prospect everyday. Who do you know, how can I reach them – or ask them to do an introductory call. Let’s step up our recruiting this week. Step into your own magnificence.

14. Get your rods in the ocean not in the lake.Don’t call your training fish pond trainings. Take your rod out of the fish pond and put it in the ocean! Oceans surround all of our countries – that’s where the big fish are! Get your rods out there and catch some leaders! Get all kinds of different ways going to get your recruits – lead boxes, ads, exiting your house and talking to people, teaching classes – mommy & me, doing parties, doing booths. Make a list of all the rods you’ll put in the ocean this week. Take action on this NOW.

15. What does MIN stand for? Most Important Now. You must ask yourself all day long - if what I am doing right now going to get me to GM? What is the most important thing I should be doing. Multi-task – decide dinner plans, get the laundry going, make it easy for family to get beds made. Should be booking parties, recruiting and building personal team to promote out group managers.

16. How to paper your town. Turn to page 186 in MFOS – tear off flier. Put your contact info on it and put on bright yellow paper – make 20 copies and bring thumb tacks – put under the seat of your car – look for opportunities to hang them up. Make hot pockets – use large piece of packing tape and put your biz cards in there. Put them in the grocery stores on Monday – they take everything down on Sunday. Get going!
17. How to book 1-2 Home Parties a week and not have them cancel. Get your calendar in front of you with 2 pens. Make a list of people you want to call with their phone numbers and call and say “I was just curious if you would you like to host a Discovery Toys home party? You get the people there, and I’ll do the rest. I’ll come over around 7:30pm and al you need to do is to serve cold drinks, and I’ll bring the toys. I’ll be at the door to greet your friends and they can bring friends too. I’ll tell all about the benefits of playing with our toys and you’ll get free toys based on how much is sold. If you book a party with me, I don’t want you to cancel. I’ll have difficulty filling the spot. I’m just like the doctor or the dentist, can I count on you to hold the party?” Work very closely with your hostess. Another thing you want to say “I have a waiting list – I only have 8 openings. If someone does call and cancel, and you can put together a party quickly, you can be on my waiting list? I’m already booking for November – so many people want to book a party with me. Provide me with your guest list, in case you get sick, I can call and tell everyone the change of plans. I’m counting on you as I only do 8 parties a month. Who are the first 10 people you would like to invite? Some hostesses want to call around and see if people can come. Say, well if you go in with that attitude, people may not come. Instead, call your friends and ask if they would like a catalog to preview before the party. Be proud to say it. When you come to the party you can order or place an order beforehand. We’re not keeping the party open. I want you to come and I need you to come, I want you to bring a friend. Tell them the distributor is only demonstrating for 30 minutes, so you’re only going to be at the party about an hour of your time. Bring a friend! They are the fastest growing company in the US, these are the best toys, they are not sold in stores, I know you love your children, so just come over and see all these great toys. It will be great to get together. Tell the hostess what is in it for them. Fire up your hostess. They won’t cancel if you tell them what’s in it for them. Call them 3 days, 2 hours, and 2 months ahead. Stay in contact with your hostess!

18. How to have an Open House where people come and buy.
Back before DT, a friend of hers always had an open house –always a different day – they would go and buy children’s books and they would go to lunch with her friends. Decide to do an open house once a quarter. Come to my open house,that would be great. Sometimes I put things on sale. You can come on the way to 9am to noon and 2pm to 4pm. I took a stack of invitations to my parties and word started to spread. One more rod in the ocean some come some don’t. Have tables – these are on sale, these are the new toys and these are all discontinued. Have an open house next week! Tell everyone to pop on by! See what happens. I’m not your boss, but try it!

19. Working with your hostess for maximum results. You get the people there..And I’ll do the rest! 500 parties later, JR knows what to do. You’ll learn a lot too from your mistakes. Here is what worked. Set up the party – get the calendar out. I can call you tomorrow or the following day if you want ME to do the party. Say I am the #1 top distributor for Discovery Toys in this are. You get the people there, I’ll do the rest. The more people that come, the higher the sales, the higher the sales the more free toys you’ll get. Please clean up the space where the toys will be and please clean up your bathroom. I’ll be there 15 minutes beforehand and I’ll meet and greet your friends. I will not pressure them to buy, but they will want everything! Have her call her friends – you do not need to call them. Fire up your hostess and she’ll be excited to call her friends! Let the hostess know it is her job. Your job is to get the people there. I would hope that you would have 10 people there – ask them all to bring a friend. Magical things happen with 10 people there! Let the hostess get excited to get her friends there. Partner with her! I’ll do the best presentation! Take a box of inventory – include the inventory to calculate the hostess free toys. Word will spread that you provide a great party. Make the party so much fun, make the toys come alive. Shift their thinking from buying 2 things to hosting a party or becoming a distributor! You want everyone to shift their thinking. Make big MAC calls the morning after – thank you so much for your nice order. You want to call everyone that came to the party starting with the hostess. Wanted to thank you for coming, I placed the order as promised. Please feel free to call me with anything you want to order, ask for a party and write a thank you note. Order your own stationary with your name on it. Make it perfect and beautiful. Pop your biz card in there. Story time – 30 were supposed to come, only 2 came, she gave a great presentation anyway. Tailored demonstration to people there – asked who they were shopping for and demoed those toys. One gal stopped her and asked to join right then and there, that gal went on to be super successful! And would be a triple diamond today if she’d stayed with it. Triple your enthusiasm at your parties and with your hostesses!

20. Do more than the minimum every day.JR travels the world speaking to different distributor groups – 7 years running! Kleeneze company that operates with couples. Top distributor Andy – when I get tired at the end of the day, I make 10 more calls. If you’re willing to do what others won’t, you’ll get more than the minimums. Not enough to touch business every day. Must push yourself, read more books, listen to more CDs, become a student of network marketing. Must take massive action. Climb, climb, climb up the comp plan.

-Her husband at the time had been a college quarterback. During a game, he had shown his dislocated thumb to the coach. The coach popped it back in and sent him back out to play. The husband told this to Jan and said he'd been told to work through the pain and get back out there.
-Her desire was so strong that it overcame her frustrations.

11. Deciding to decide and that decision must last a lifetime.
-There is a day that I got into network marketing. There is the day I got my kit. Indecision to do more is a decision.

10. Personal Growth is the key.
-Jim Rohn and Tom Hopkins said to work harder on building yourself than your business. Go to seminars. Read. The more you learn, the more you earn. Others can't steal what is in our minds. Build my library. Develop my skills.
-Priority should be to attend Tom Hopkins Boot Camp in Arizona - 3 days, $1000. He is the top trainer in sales in the world. At least listen to his books.
-Also read Fire Up!
-And read MLM Nuts and Bolts.
-To get 3 recruits at a party: call on cell phone to tell I'm on the way. Take only my purse to the door. Carry things in and turn crates on their sides. Basket of toys. That should be quick. Talk with the hostess. Greet guests at door and introduce myself and talk with them, asking questions. Listen. Start the party with recruiting and the kit request form. Tell them, "I'll be demonstrating for about 20-30 minutes and then spending 30 minutes helping you make selections and getting those who know they want to be distributors happily involved. If you already see 4 or more products that you want, you probably should become a distributor. With a $25 initial investment on your credit card today, we can have your kit on its way to you."
-Jan used the full price. Could do that with " OR a $25 initial investment". Oh .... now I see why the total amount. Then they know there is nothing else required of them to get started! Ok. I like that aspect.

1.Massive desire is not enough.
-intense desire is a quality that makes top distributors never give up

-intense desire is an overwhelming demand placed upon yourself to change the direction of your life
-Torino athletes have intense desire backed by action
**Take urgent action now/desire w/o action = 0
2.Belief/Vision/Start with the end goal in mind.
-belief comes from within…you must believe it to achieve it
-vision is something seen in your head..look forward to what will happen in the future (can you see it? Can you feel it? Can you hear it?)
-Am I clear, concise, inspired and is it easy to duplicate for others to achieve the same?
*good is not good enough!!*
-no excuses…do it now!

3. Having the Attitude of going for greatness forever.
-you will begin to believe what your friends believe – be w/ people w/ great attitudes
-only you can change your attitude
-have an attitude of gratitude
