An Interview with Jan Ruhe, Master of Network Marketing Worldwide
Networkers I meet all around the world usually have
solid belief in their companies and products, but their confidence tends
to be shaky when it comes to setting and achieving their goals. Here are
some of the questions I've been hearing most recently from people, who in
some cases have been too shy to ask their sponsors. I encourage you to ask
your sponsor anything and everything, but for those people I've met who
didn't, here's what I had to share--nothing fancy, just what works!

A Diamond Message From Jan Ruhe
21 years ago, in August of 1980, I was pregnant with my 3rd child. Sarah was 4; Clayton was 2 and baby Ashley #3 on the way.
It was the hottest summer on record in Dallas, over 113 degrees day after day! My marriage was on the spiral downwards and I had just started my career in Discovery Toys the previous March! But I had the vision of going for Diamond at that time.

Gen X on Network Marketing! By Sarah White
We're young, we're fun, some would even go so far to call us crazy! We are Generation X, and proud of it! Many of us have college degrees, but do we really want desk jobs? To work for 60 years and retire with a pension, the way many of us watched our parents do? I don't think so.

Jan Ruhe's Rags to Riches Story
I graduated from college with a BA in Sociology but I don't recall anything I learned in college. I didn't fit in. I didn't want to go to class and study. I was uninterested and had no direction. I was in a sorority but really didn't fit in.

A Message From Jan Ruhe's Son By Clayton White
I played Football in High School. I played fullback. In one particular game, we were behind 6-0 and we got down to the two-yard line and there were 18 seconds left in the game. We got into the huddle and the quarterback called a play to the fullback.

Thank you Mom for being in Network Marketing! By Ashley White
Having a mom that is a Network Marketer rather than
a 9-5 mom has been very rewarding. One of the best rewards that my mom has
shared with me has been a trip to Africa. My sister was going around the
world on Semester At Sea, and one of the ports of call was Mombassa in East Africa.

Smooth Stones and Danger Zones
After many years of water pouring over stones in a
river, they become smooth. Living near the great Roaring Fork River
in the Aspen Valley for years, I have taken note of the fabulous smooth
stones in the river. The river continues to flow year after year. When the
snow melts in the great Rocky Mountains, the river swells and the river
rafts are brought out and the fun seekers ride the rapids for weeks and
weeks.

Lifestyle: From Denver to Aspen, Colorado
The flight from Denver to Aspen, Colorado only takes
about 25 minutes but there are so many contrasts along the way. From the
flat planes around Denver, up over the magnificence of the Rocky Mountains,
with the greens of the trees and foliage replaced above the tree line with
the greys of the granite and basalt volcanic rocks, through to the striking
reds of the sandstones, and snow pockets still on the high peaks at around
13,000 feet (around 4,000 metres - Ed.), even in the high summer temperatures
of August.

The Donkey Story
From Jan Ruhe & Art Burleigh’s "True
Leadership"
A parable is told of a farmer who owned an old, worn out, tired mule. The mule
had not worked hard for quite some time. The farmer just didn’t think it
was worth keeping and feeding and be useless. One day, the mule fell into the
farmer’s well. It was a long fall and the farmer assumed that the donkey
was done, gone and didn’t want to fool with getting him out of the well.

Lifestyle #1: Jan and Bill in Madrid, Spain, 2003
After driving with our son, Clayton from Aspen to Denver for a day of shopping,
we jetted from Denver to Philadelphia and then straight to Madrid, Spain. The
next day we arrived early in the morning having barely rested and checked into
the Miguel Angel Hotel in downtown Madrid and rested most of the day. This is
a great property in the middle of town, which we highly recommend. The following
day we engaged a tour guide who took us to picturesque Toledo, a medieval fortified
town, famous for its durable steel blades. Toledo is situated in the bend of
a river and is accessible by easily defended bridges. Our driver took us to a
hotel on a mountain above Toledo to look at the expanse of the town.

Lifestyle #2: Jan and Bill in Mozambique, Africa,
2003 = The Bush
We jetted from Madrid overnight for 10 hours to Johannesburg, South Africa. Our
friends Sue and Peet DuPreez met us at the airport and we went to their lovely
home in Pretoria for a short rest and then to Brenda and Andre Friis’ home
for sundowners in their boma (an outside thatched area) and then a scrumptious
dinner in their lovely African home. Brenda and Jan met years ago when Brenda
was with Exclusive Touch in Botswana. It was terrific to be together with her
again. Getting ready for Bill’s hunt we repacked into small canvas bags
just a few clothes and early the following morning we departed in a 6 seater
small plane [Piper Seneca] to Pietersburg, South Africa, landed and cleared immigration/customs.
We then flew 2 plus hours to clear customs in Beira, Mozambique. Leaving Beira
we flew north to a concession known as...

Lifestyle #3: Mozambique, Africa, 2003 = The Islands
We packed early in the morning, took the vehicle back
to the plane and took off on the grass landing strip and headed over the
Indian Ocean, Dolly and all of her staff-waving goodbye from the ground.
We soared over Africa in the 6 seater plane, Billy up in the front of the
plane with Sue and Jan in the back packed in with a lot of the luggage.
They were cold and were covered in blankets and got toasty warm while they
chatted and rested all the way to the Basarutti Archepelego (group of Islands)
off the east coast of Vilanculos, Mozambique. We flew straight down the
coast over the Indian Ocean and finally saw the fabulous, sparkling, white
untouched beaches of the Mozambique Islands.

Lifestyle #4: Mozambique, Africa, 2003 = The Islands
to Pretoria, South Africa
We departed the Marlin Inn, on Benguerra Island, in the Islands off the East
coast of Mozambique, driving back across the Island to our private airplane that
was awaiting us, packed the airplane and took off for the short flight across
the bay to Vilancolas, Mozambique to clear customs there. We flew on, just the
4 of us soaring way across Africa to Pitersburg, South Africa to again clear
customs and then on into Pretoria. We had a late lunch with the DuPreez clan,
Dreyer, Angee (newly wed to darling Jaco) and the effervescent Sandy. We have
loved watching these children grow up to be such super young adults. We then
were the houseguests of Sue and Peet for the evening just staying in for the
night. We stayed in one of their guest suites that is filled with trophies Peet
has gotten through the years. Just beautiful stuffed huge animals keeping us
company.

Mala Mala Game Reserve
Next, Pretoria, South Africa to Mala Mala Game Preserve in Sabi Sands, East South
Africa.....ahhhhhhhhhhh the lifestyle!
At the fabulous new airport in Johannesburg we boarded the small South African
Airways jet and soared again across Africa onto the next adventure. We landed
on a small airstrip at Mala Mala and the Land Rovers were there to greet us with
our private guide, Jamie. Jamie is an English South African from Durban, 20 years
old and very knowledgeable about Mala Mala. He was our ranger for the entire
time we were at Mala Mala. We also had a private tracker, John, from the Shaangan
tribe.

Lifestyle #6: Londolozi Game Preserve, South Africa, in the Sabi Sands
A private driver picked us up at Mala Mala to drove
us to Londolozi Game Preserve which shared a common border and that was
very close to the other famous lodge, Singita. Londolozi is one of the most
fantastic properties we have EVER seen or stayed at or experienced. The
service has rated it as a Relais and Chateaux membership. No doubt, we were
over the top! We approached the gate to the camp and the security guard
handed us a letter. The letter was from the General Manager and the message
said, “You will be arriving Londolozi in approximately 2 minutes time!
Welcome!” Wow, what service! The fortune is in the details! Sweat
the small stuff, it matters!

The Life Story of Narendra Singh Kalon
Jan & Bill I just wanted to say thank you very
much. The last 2 days have been amazing.Thank you for allowing
me to shared my story with you and the respect and kindness both
of you showed me.
Love Narendra and Kashmir Kalon
My Life story follows below.
My Life Story
I wanted to take this opportunity to share my whole life story
with you as I promised when we met last year. I have not got a
chance until now. You may recall me. I am the Sikh Kleeneze Distributor
that you met at Sheffield and you called me the 'Turbannator'.
I am part of Rob and Ray's team.
Firstly, I look forward to seeing you on the 2-day workshop in
July, in Cannock.
I was born 13/10/67 premature. My parents had given up hope for
me as I stayed in intensive care for a very long time and really
should have died whilst at birth. However by some miracle and through
the grace of God I survived. My father came from India to England
when he was only 21. He was a very ambitious young man in those
days hoping to make it big in his new country, England.
My father went back to India after a few years to get married.
He then came to the UK with his wife, and then I was born. I have
2 brothers and one sister who is married to a Property Developer
in Canada, Vancouver BC.

The Beginning of our Summer 2004 Ruhe Eagles Don't Flock Tour
We are just back from an amazing fifth year tour of
the British Isles! We started our trip from Aspen and jetted to
South Carolina to see Ashley and Clayton, 2 of my children and from there
jetted to Madrid. My hairdresser, David Lorento is there and it was great
to be in Madrid in the summer! We jetted onward to London and drove to and
stayed on the farthest point to the West of Wales. We then traveled to St
David, at the Western most tip of Wales. We arrived in a fog bank at night
but awoke to clear skies and a view of the Atlantic. Stunning. We then traveled
up the beautiful West coast of Wales to the Snowdonia Mountains and over
to Birmingham, UK and surprised the Kleeneze distributors greatly when we
walked into the Convention Center and actually sat in the audience for their
history making conference! It was announced that Kleeneze was going into
Holland, the mini car was given away and there was pandemonium! Talk about
razzle dazzle! It was so fun! It was fantastic for several of my students
to be the Success Speakers! Wow! What a joy that was to be in their audience!
